Career change with backing:
Tatjana Bruch-Zununi makes a fresh start at atriga
“It’s just great that atriga has enabled me to develop within the company in this way!” This is how Tatjana Bruch-Zununi sums up an event that has not only had a lasting impact on her professional life in recent months.
There is an exciting story behind it that illustrates why the medium-sized company atriga has been recognized as a top employer four times in a row: The innovator in customer-friendly and digital receivables management offers its employees not only numerous benefits in the atriga TEAM program, but also an exceptionally good working atmosphere.
From asset management to receivables management
But back to Tatjana Bruch-Zununi: after training as a bank clerk in Frankfurt, she worked for a Swiss bank, among others. After moving back to her old home in Langen, Tatjana looked around for a new field of work. She came across an advertisement in the Stadtpost newspaper in which atriga was looking for employees for the Contact Center. “I was impressed by the great team at the company during a taster day,” recalls Tatjana, ”it was all very new and exciting for me. At the bank, it was all about fixed assets and tax savings. But now it was my job to deal with people on the phone who were behind with their payments.” Tatjana continues: “It’s certainly a completely different field, but from my first day at work, April 1, 2017, I felt very comfortable at atriga. There was the great team on the one hand and the varied tasks on the other. Of course, the focus was on phone calls with debtors. It was important to always keep a cool head, argue objectively and at the same time respond to the other party with tact and patience.”
Illness was a major setback
Then came the decisive point in her professional life: An illness forced her to give up the work she loved so much in the contact centre. Tatjana remembers it clearly: “It was great that atriga gave me the opportunity to change jobs within the company, especially in this difficult situation.” At home, she thought: “What can I do to ensure that I am optimally prepared for the desired change from working on the phone to written processing?” She found exactly the right answer – and signed up for a distance learning programme in receivables management at the SGD institute in Darmstadt.
When presenting her with a small gift, atriga Managing Director Oliver Burgis (right) emphasised: “Tatjana Bruch-Zununi is an inspiration to us all and a true role model of willpower and commitment.” Carsten Kohl (left), in-house lawyer and Assistant Head of Legal Services & Debt Collection, added: “We are very happy to have her on the team!“
Full support from the management
It is unusual, but typical of atriga: The managers also supported Tatjana Bruch-Zununi to the best of their ability during her distance learning programme. “I was able to turn to them at any time with subject-specific questions. The management was always at my side and had my back. Also and especially with the sentence: Take your time and get really healthy again first!”
Over the following months, the distance learning programme provided Tatjana with valuable knowledge about insolvency proceedings, foreclosures and enforceable judgements. She also expanded her specialist knowledge of the commercial dunning process, the course of proceedings, legal forms and liability issues. Step by step and at the exact pace that her illness allowed, she came closer and closer to her goal: graduating as a “Certified Specialist in Receivables Management (SGD)”. How does she rate this successful training programme? Tatjana emphasises: “It not only helped me professionally, but also showed me personally what I can achieve.”
Her return to work was planned for the day after atriga’s 20th anniversary celebrations last year. She had hesitated at first, but then accepted the invitation. This decision proved to be absolutely right: “I was warmly welcomed back into the atriga family!”
Back on the job
How could it be otherwise? Tatjana’s start as a part-time colleague in written case processing was more than just smooth: “Right from the start, I felt completely at ease here too, looking after my own client without any time pressure or problematic phone calls.” Her main tasks include the systematic and structured processing of enquiries, for example from debtors, lawyers or clients. Tatjana adds: “Particularly important aspects here are accuracy, adherence to deadlines and traceability of the processing procedure. Not forgetting a clear and comprehensible formulation of the relevant facts.” For Tatjana, it goes without saying that she doesn’t look at her watch at work when an important matter needs to be dealt with.
atriga: A good working atmosphere promotes success
This unusual story shows how atriga supports and promotes the professional success and personal satisfaction of its employees. Managing Director Christoph Ruoff emphasises: “For many years, our aim has been to work with our employees to create and maintain a working atmosphere in which work is fun. This logically ensures that our competent and committed teams can concentrate fully on successfully supporting our clients’ customers who are in arrears with their payments in order to resolve payment problems.”
